General

This is very popular in Morocco, partly because King Hassan II was an internationally ranked practitioner of the game. Agadir has four courses: the Agadir Royal Golf Club is a par 36 while the beautiful Dunes Golf Club has three 9-hole par 36 courses (designed by a disciple of Robert Trent Jones). The third course, set around lakes, palm trees and eucalyptus, is the 5-star Golf du Soleil, which is a 27-hole par 72. The fourth course, is the Ocean Golf Course, which will have 3 high quality 9 hole courses spread over approx 90 hectares of natural sand dunes in the heart of a eucalyptus forest due for completion end of 2009.

Below is the geographical location of the golf courses relative to Maison Anarjis.

It is a delightful course, but you must beware of the trees and the very dense undergrowth. The greens are broad, well defended by deep bunkers and groups of palm trees that close off the angles.
The number three hole is particularly challenging, it’s a splendid 469 meters and par 5 requiring particular skill on the second shot to overcome the impressive water hazard. After the game, players can meet and discuss their round in the panoramic club house, practically buried in a cascade of Bougainvillea

Description: Golf Club Med les Dunes is set on gently rolling land among eucalyptus trees. 3 courses of 9 holes, each in an American style with Bermuda and Pencross grass. The fairways run through 4 small lakes, eucalyptus, and date palms, with exotic rough. The designer has incorporated a number of remarkable surprises into these three nine hole courses.

The Eucalyptus, the blue course, par 36, 9 holes, (3174 metres). Warm-up course, ideal for getting your hand in but be careful! Hole number 8 is a real gem. Then, once the effort has been made, comes the reward - a magnificent view of Inezgane.

The Wadi, the yellow course, par 36, 9 holes, (3050 metres). For those in touch with their swing needs much more skill. Hole number three, par 5, inspires both fear and respect. Good luck!

The Tamarisk, the red course, par 36. 9 holes. (3208 metres). For those on top of their game you will need all you clubs and all your best strokes. The ingredients: two lakes, fairways that appear reasonably calm and a moderately-sized eucalyptus wood. The last hole is imposing: a narrow par 5 that climbs uphill through the trees before gently sloping down to the green and the clubhouse.
