Although Maison Anarjis is close to transport links, in order to get the most out of your holiday we recommend that you hire a car. Mr Lahocine (Tel:00212 [0] 666 926 238) at “Weekend Cars” will give you a good price for a Dacia (Renault) Logan Laureate (which seats 4 comfortably including luggage). We recommend you request air-conditioning in summer!

Petit taxis are light blue in Dcheira El Jihadia and will only take you around the local Dcheira area. Petit taxis in Agadir are orange, and again, will only take you around the local Agadir area.

Grand taxis are white locally and blue and white in Agadir and will take you from one town to another. You will notice large grand taxi stands near all of the bus stations in Morocco. Grand taxis can squeeze in seven passengers. If you have the money, but not the time, or you just don’t want to be squashed in with so many other people, you may want to pay for the whole taxi - it’s still cheap by European standards!

There is a major bus station next to Inezgane souk - here you can catch a bus to almost anywhere in Morocco.

The drive to Marrakech currently takes 3½ to 4 hours, but the new motorway to Marrakech is due to be completed in the year 2010 and should cut the drive to about 2 hours.
